Live-in Care in Hereford – Compassionate 24/7 Support at Home
Why Choose Live-in Care in Hereford?
The Benefits of Live-in Care:
-
Stay in Familiar Surroundings
Your loved one remains in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by cherished memories, familiar routines, and their local Hereford community. There's no need for the emotional upheaval of moving to a care home. They can continue enjoying walks along the River Wye, visits to Hereford Cathedral, exploring the historic market town, or peaceful moments in their own garden.
-
One-to-One Personal Attention
Unlike care homes where staff support multiple residents, live-in care provides dedicated, personalised attention from a single carer. This ensures your loved one's unique needs, preferences, and routines are fully respected and met.
-
24/7 Support and Peace of Mind
With a live-in carer present around the clock, you can rest assured that help is always available—whether it's during the day, overnight, or in an emergency. Families across Hereford enjoy complete peace of mind knowing their loved one is never alone.
-
Maintain Independence and Dignity
Live-in care supports independence by enabling your loved one to continue living life on their terms, in their own home, with gentle assistance exactly when they need it. They retain control over their daily routines, mealtimes, and activities.
-
Family-Style Care
At Alderberry Care, we believe in caring smiles and compassionate support. Our live-in carers become trusted companions, offering not just practical help but genuine friendship and emotional support. For Hereford families, live-in care means your loved one can stay close to family, friends, and the beautiful historic market town and rolling Herefordshire countryside they know and love, while receiving the highest quality professional care at home.

We offer live-in care assignments across the UK. You will live in the client’s home and be on hand to help provide care, cook for them and undertake household tasks. Assignments are typically 2 – 6 weeks’ long. During the Covid-19 pandemic however we are also asking our carers to consider placements of up to 12 weeks in order to safeguard our client’s against exposure to multiple individuals.
Our recommended daily rates range between £103 – £142 per day, meaning you can earn up to £4,300 (before tax) in a single month, more if working bank holidays within that period.

Client meals – Carers are there to prepare meals for the client(s) they are looking after; should additional family members, or guests, wish to have food prepared then this needs to be agreed in advance.
Work and rest time – Though live-in care is unmeasured work, daily average hours should be a maximum of 10 hours care, plus a 2-hour break at a time suitable to the client. Should care be required during this period additional support should be arranged.
Waking fee – If you are woken during the night by the client and are providing day services only, you can charge a “waking fee”. This charge is set at £12 for a single call and raises to a maximum of £24 should several calls occur. Multiple awakenings need to be flagged to the Country Cousins team.
You will be responsible for invoicing clients directly each week for any expenses incurred.
